Terms · The rules of this site

Plain terms, plainly stated.

What this site is, what belongs to whom, and what we do with anything you send through it.

About these terms

These terms cover your use of arxtv.com, which is published by Arx Media Inc. When they say ARX TV, we, us, or our, they mean that company. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, the site is still there to read, but please do not use the forms.

What this site is right now

ARX TV is in its first weeks. The reporting published here is real, it carries a byline and a dateline, and we stand behind every line of it. What is not finished is the rest of the network: live field video, the licensing archive, and a full masthead all come later this year. Reporting is an account of events as we could establish them at the time of writing, and it is not advice. Where we get something wrong we correct it, and we say what changed.

Our footage and our writing

The footage, stills, wordmark, design, and written text on this site belong to ARX TV. You may link to any page here, quote briefly with attribution as you would any publication, and share the pages themselves.

You may not copy, redistribute, or republish our footage or stills, in whole or in part, without a licence. That is not a technicality for us: an archive whose provenance can be traced is the product we are building, and untracked copies destroy exactly what makes it worth something. If you want to use any of it, that is what licensing is for, and we would rather hear from you than not.

What you send us

Anything you send through the contact form stays yours. You are giving us permission to read it, store it, and reply to it, nothing more. We are not claiming ownership of your message or of anything you attach to it.

Please do not send us material you are not free to share, and do not send confidential documents through a plain web form. We have not yet published a secure channel for sensitive material. When we do, it will be listed on the contact page, and until then you should assume the form is ordinary email.

Using the site fairly

Do not attack the site, attempt to reach parts of it that are not public, submit automated or bulk traffic through the forms, or misrepresent yourself as ARX TV or as someone working for us. The forms are rate limited, and we would rather you did not make us tighten that further.

Links to other places

Our footer links to accounts we run on other platforms. Those platforms have their own terms and their own privacy practices, and we do not control them.

The site is provided as it is

We keep this site accurate and available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error free, or complete. Pages other than published articles may change without notice. Published articles are corrected rather than quietly rewritten, and a correction says what changed.

Limits

To the extent the law allows, ARX TV is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them.

Getting in touch

Questions about these terms, about licensing, or about anything else on the site go through the contact page. A real person reads it.
